Lots of listings say "home cinema" and mean a big TV in the lounge, and Airbnb has no filter for a movie theater in its menu. We searched the hidden one, read the listings and kept only whole homes with a separate room built for watching films. These are the ten we would book first, from a tropical villa in Bali to an A-frame high in the Colorado mountains.

Before you book, ask the host whether the cinema uses a projector or a large TV, and which streaming accounts are already signed in. It is also worth asking whether the room can be blacked out in daytime, so a wet afternoon can turn into a matinee.
How we chose: we searched every continent for Airbnbs with a movie theater, kept only whole homes rated 4.85 or higher whose photos show the movie theater, and picked the ten we would most like to stay in, at a range of prices. Nobody paid to be on this list.
