A holiday home with a proper playroom keeps children busy and gives the adults a quiet evening, but Airbnb has no filter for one in its menu. We searched the hidden one, looked at the photos and kept only whole homes where the playroom is real and set aside for children. These are the ten we would book first, from a climbing-wall villa in the Croatian hills to a beach house on the sand in the Peloponnese.

Before you book, ask the host what ages the playroom suits and which toys are there now. Toys come and go between guests, so if a climbing wall or a play tent is the reason you are booking, it is worth checking it is still in place.
