A holiday home with bikes waiting at the door is hard to find, because Airbnb has no bikes filter in its menu. We searched the hidden one around the world and checked every photo for the bikes themselves. These are the ten whole homes we would book first, from a thatched villa among the giraffes in South Africa to an 1888 church on an Ontario bay.

Before you book, message the host and ask how many bikes there are, what sizes they come in, and whether helmets and locks are included. Some hosts charge a small fee or ask you to book the bikes in advance, so it is worth confirming they will be ready on the day you arrive.
How we chose: we searched every continent for Airbnbs with bikes, kept only whole homes rated 4.85 or higher whose photos show the bikes, and picked the ten we would most like to stay in, at a range of prices. Nobody paid to be on this list.
