Our 10 Favorite Beachfront Airbnbs

Airbnb has a beachfront filter, but hosts tick it loosely, and plenty of homes it returns are a road or a short walk from the sand. We read the listings and looked through every photo. These ten whole homes really sit on the beach, from a glass house on a New Zealand surf beach to a bungalow under almond trees in Costa Rica.

Every home here is the whole place, not a room. Prices are the full Airbnb total for 7 nights, 6 March 2027 to 13 March 2027, for 2 guests, including fees and taxes, checked on 24 October 2026. They change daily, so open the listing for today's price.

Before you book

Before you book, ask the host how far the door is from the sand, and whether the beach in front is sandy, pebbly or rocky. Ask too whether the water is safe for swimming in your month, because some of these beaches are surf breaks first and swimming beaches second.

How we chose: we searched every continent for beachfront Airbnbs, kept only whole homes rated 4.85 or higher whose photos show the beachfront, and picked the ten we would most like to stay in, at a range of prices. Nobody paid to be on this list.
